Victoria is growing as a destination for the luxury traveller, and they are seeking high-end accommodation in B.C.’s beautiful capital and moorage for their luxury yachts. It’s the yachting enthusiasts that the new Victoria International Marina (VIM) is looking to serve by offering world-class moorage for luxury yachts from 65’ to 175’. The 28 slips are divided evenly among the following four options: nightly moorage (3-day min.), multi-month lease (3-month min.), one-year lease, and exclusive 40-year leases.

J.E. Anderson & Associates’ land surveyors have been surveying the area of the proposed marina to provide key survey documents for converting the provincial License of Occupation into a long-term lease of Crown land. VIM is under construction at Victoria’s picturesque Inner Harbour on the Victoria West side, adjacent to the federal harbour. Provincial regulators needed a Land Act Survey before giving tenure to the developer, and the team at J.E. Anderson expertly created the document. Additionally, VIM relied on the surveyors at J.E. Anderson to carry out a variety of survey layouts for the construction of wharves and onsite service buildings.

With the recently-approved survey plan, VIM can now move forward with securing its lease with the province. Once constructed, boat owners leasing slips will have access to a number of luxury features. It will feature a 24/7 concierge desk, transportation and valet services, on-site security, secure high-speed wi-fi coverage at each slip, refreshments by the reception lounge, 120-volt single-phase power, water connections for drinking water, and an automatic-suction sanitary sewer connection. As well, exclusive VIM guest facilities include a reception lounge, onsite business facilities, crew lounge, and a waterfront parlour room, which can will be available for private events. Additionally, an on-site restaurant featuring spectacular views is planned for the marina.
